How to Check Vote Registration by SMS – On Wednesday, 4th December 2013, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), an International Parliamentary Organization ICPS recognized ECP’s Services in innovative technology use (i.e. 8300 SMS Service) in the Electoral Process This win was announced at the International Electoral Awards 2013, Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia). The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), in collaboration with NADRA, provides an SMS service to the public for eligible voters to verify their registration status. The public can access the information by entering their CNIC number and then sending a text message to 8300. This will allow you to receive an automated response with your name, block code, and serial number.
How to Check Vote Registration Check by SMS
Any registered voter can verify his/her details by visiting the office of their District Election Commissioner, which has access to the final electoral roll. You can find the addresses and contact information of all four DEC offices in the provinces on the Election Commissions website. Last year, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), in collaboration with the National Database and Registration Authority(NADRA), introduced an SMS service that allows voters to verify their eligibility. The users used to be charged Rs. 2 + tax per message.

You can submit your Vote Registration application together with a copy of CNIC to the District Election Commission (DEC/Registration Officer/Assistant Register Officer) of the district in which you wish to enroll your name. In a Friday notification, the commission stated that citizens could check their votes for free by sending their Computerised National Identity Card numbers (CNIC) to 8300 until December 15. The notification stated that citizens will be notified as soon as the message has been sent. They will then receive their personal details, including the names and addresses of the constituencies in which their votes were registered.

Registered voters can send their Computerised National Identity Cards, (CNIC), numbers to 8300 anytime and anywhere in the country. The SMS will send the voter an Urdu message containing their name and address, as well as the serial number of votes registered in the preliminary electoral roll.

Voter verification: ECP launches SMS service
We are pleased to inform you that the National Database and Registration Authority, in collaboration with the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), have launched an SMS service to verify voter registration. Each eligible voter can send a text message to 8300 with their Computerized National Identity Card number (without dash), and their electoral area. You will also receive a serial number for voters who were registered on the initial electoral rolls.
